PRICES AND INFORMATION

The HTML pages produced for the Sydney Internet Directory are constructed using several editors including Dreamweaver, HomeSite, Aardvark, Flash, Fireworks, Shockwave, Front Page and others.

They are produced for both Netscape 4+,6+ and Microsoft IE 4+ browsers which enable the latest codes to be read. Browsers before these versions may not be able to read certain codes and programs such as Java, Shockwave and others.

Screen sizes on our Web Authoring machines are set at 800x600 and this is the size we recommend all our pages are viewed, however they can be seen quite clearly on machines with screens set at 640x480

For all our web graphics, we use either the .JPG (jpeg) or .GIF format in the compressed variations they offer.

To try and assist with the ever growing bandwidth problems of the Internet, we subscribe to the edict that in the construction of HTML pages, thought is given to the 'overuse' of graphics and other plug attracting devices.

PAGE ELEMENTS

Every page is made up of 4 elements and they are...
1) The LOGO and Business name
2) The Photo,Artwork
3) The Story Line up to 200 words.
4) The Contact Details.

All scanning, reducing, typing, editing and layout services are included in the initial order set-up.

PHOTO'S, LOGOS

All graphics. including logos, photo's and line drawings etc.,
MUST

1) Be Clear and in focus.
2) Be 210 x 145mm (5x7) which is half a portrait A4 page or at least NO LARGER than A4 size..
3) Not show any logo's etc., which do not belong to the client
4) Not contain any nudity, profanities or anything unacceptable to a 'non adult' site

STORY - OTHER INFORMATION

This material should be typed or clearly printed in English on white paper if sent by mail or fax.
If sent by e-mail it should be sent in the body of your e-mail message, or as specified in the order form.
It should NOT BE SENT as an attachment to an e-mail. Due to virus precautions all attachments will be deleted and not opened.
The storyline about your business should be clear and to the point so that your message can be said in no more than 200 words not including your contact details. Remember, mention things about you or your business that will bring customers when they read it.
If you do not request precise instructions for this text, we will presume you want us to copy write the story based on what you have given us. We will do this and any changes thereafter will be limited to spelling and grammar.
Story changes requested AFTER the page has been constructed will attract EXTRA CHARGES.

CONTACT DETAILS

This should be sent only as per the instructions above.
Your contact details should include your..
1) Business name
2) name or the name of the contact person in your business.
3) Your address with City, State, Zip, and Country.
4) Your voice phone number with Country and Area Code.
5) Your Fax number if you have one with Country and Area Code.
6) Include any other phone... After Hours, Mobile, pager etc..
7) Any E-mail address you want included.
8) Any Web Site you want included... http://www. ???
9) Name of The Web site you have included.

PAGE LAYOUT

The page size and layout will be similar to our demonstration models we have created. Each of these demo's have a number and if you want your page to have a similar layout, be sure to quote that number in the order form. If the style number is not listed or requested WITH the order, our graphics department will create a style they feel will suit your type of business. Once created, if this is to be changed, then additional fees will apply.

Be sure you choose well.

TIME PERIOD

All page and full site agreements are for 52 weeks and that 52 weeks shall commence from the 1st day that we allocate space for you on our servers. An Under Construction Page will show until your pages are uploaded onto the site and available to the public.
For single pages, In most cases this will be around 48 hours after this office receives all the information needed to create your page. For full sites, this could be up to 3 weeks. Your site ot page will not be commenced until all material has been received at our offices. If any items and material are received after the page is constructed, additional change charges will apply.

TIME TERMINATION (Please Read)

All our hosting for pages and full sites are only available for a minimum 52 week time period, meaning it shall terminate 52 weeks exactly from the start day. For example if your start was on a Wednesday, then your 52 weeks will end on the Tuesday prior to that 52 week period end.

Unless prior to the annual termination date, we receive in writing notice that you wish us to terminate hosting of your page or site, a 7 day invoice will be sent for the next 52 weeks and you will be automatically logged in for a further 52 week period.

If you do send notice to terminate the page/site, it will be downloaded within 7 days and irretrievably deleted.

Note: It is up to you to cancel your annual hosting service. Unless we receive this cancellation in writing prior to the annual termination period, it is considered you wish to retain your hosting with us and you will be billed for a further 52 week period of hosting.

If at any time during the 52 period you wish us to terminate your site or page hosting for any reason, you will still be responsible for the full 52 week hosting fee. There are no exceptions to this policy.

 

SEARCH ENGINES
Whilst all accounts will be nominated to certain major Search Engines, it is at the discretion of those engine operators where they assign that page. We include all tags in the page creation that are necessary for its' inclusion in their lists.

NEWS LETTER

All members of the Sydney Directory will receive E-mail Newsletters occasionally regarding things happening on the world Web and appropriate information.

E-MAIL

Gold Diamond Members will have all e-mail links directed to their own individual Dial Up servers if they have one. If not e-mail links will go to our client e-mail department and clients will be notified. We will not be responsible for any e-mail to clients and suggest every one with a web page should have their own e-mail address. We can arrange this with very economically.

Platinum Members have can have their own E-mail addresses such as whatever@yourname.com and they can have several names(whatever). This mail can be accessed by them direct at their site or it can all be forwarded to the e-mail addresses of their nomination. We must have previous notification of this is required so that the servers and the Internet can be advised of the e-mail addresses. A charge will apply for this service. STANDARD PAGE CHANGES

Any changes made to pages after the site has been deemed to be completed, will attract a minimum $45 per page change fee dependent on what changes are needed and based on our per hour fee. This fee not only covers the change but the download and upload of the page, link checks and other services that need to be carried out to satisfy our stable site policy.

SPECIAL EFFECTS PAGES

Any special or what we consider to be 'non-standard' page requests will be charged at our current hourly/expertise hourly rate. Requests for programming Shockwave, Director, Fireworks or any multi media will be quoted individually. These services will NOT be performed unless individually listed on an accepted quotation.

GRAPHIC IMAGES

All and any graphics will be treated under strict effects parameters and unless any requests for special treatment is included in the quotation, all images will be used in the standard way. This will include..
1. Given a shadow effect with a white canvas to present a 3D effect
2. Given a shadow effect without a canvas so the graphic has a shadow on the page.
3. Presented flat on the screen without any effect

Images delivered electronically must be in an accepted format and must be named with a key to the names so that files are easily identified. Any extra time needed to decipher files will attract hourly fees..

PAYMENTS

Payments can be made by CREDIT CARD either...
1) Using our secure server on this site
2) By calling our offices during office hours with card details
3) Faxing card details to our office fax

By CHEQUE to our postal address PROVIDING the cheque reaches this office 7 days prior to the due date in order to clear the bank.
By Post Office
MONEY ORDER to our postal address.

PURCHASE ORDERS

Platinum Members must present a Purchase Order for the full amount due and pay a 50% deposit on commencement of the project. The remaining 50% balance must be paid within 7 days of being notified the site is 'Ready for Review'. No changes will be made until this fee is paid.

OTHER DETAILS

1) Fees are not refundable for any service albeit page creation or hosting, once committed as per order agreement.
2) No 'adults only' material will be accepted nor anything that could prejudice the owners and operators and clients of this site. We reserve the right to refuse any material supplied and if other material is not supplied within 7 days of the notification of the initial materials' rejection, we will substitute what we feel is appropriate to advertise the client in their best interests.

 

We reserve the right to add, delete, update or change any of the above at any time.
